Technophobes

Audience: People of all ages from the age of 16. They will mostly be people who can relate to this phobia whether it’s experiencing through member of family, friends or even themselves. Also they can be interested as to what it is and how it works or purely because they find it fascinating that someone of this age of world would be in that sort of situation and may even lead to a particular audience watching it because they want to mock. It can be targeted at both male and female of maybe lower/ middle classes.

Institutions: Programmes aired on BBC3 are mostly aimed at young people around the ages of 16-35 who value BBC3’s focus on entertainment offering and potential to innovate across platforms. It will be aired after the 9pm watershed because it does not fit into the children/family category. Also has to fit in with BBC3's programme broadcasting expectations.

Media forms: This programme will be a hybrid of expository and observational documentary where they expose facts and inform people as well as letting the audience see what events take place in these peoples daily lives. As a documentary, the maker could introduce the programme and could intervene in between to comment/ explain on scenes, parts of the programme and the people.

Representations: The people within the programme are negatively represented because audiences make up assumptions of them by what they see as they don’t know anything about them and therefore because they are afraid of technology compare their lifestyle to today’s world where some people depend on technology in order to carry on their daily routines.
